Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman · Aerospace · Warner Robins, GA +1 · Electrical

Electrical Engineer role focused on component selection, obsolescence management, and circuit design for defense systems. Requires experience with mil-spec parts, schematic capture, and simulation tools. Security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and assess obsolete or DMS‑listed components.
  2. Develop mitigation strategies (e.g., part substitution, redesign, last‑time‑buy, or engineering change request).
  3. Maintain an up‑to‑date obsolescence database and generate regular risk reports.
  4. Source, evaluate, and qualify military‑specification (mil‑spec) parts.
  5. Ensure that all mil‑spec parts meet applicable standards (e.g., MIL‑PRF‑38534, MIL‑STD‑810, etc.).
