Principal Software Engineer on the User Connections team, responsible for backend systems powering the social ecosystem (Friending, Profiles, etc.) at Roblox. This role involves tech leadership, influencing architecture, guiding roadmaps, and owning critical features for millions of users. Requires extensive experience in large-scale distributed systems and server-side architecture.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting highly available and large-scale distributed fault tolerant services in production environments
  • Extensive knowledge of server-side architecture and design principles
  • Proficiency in compiled languages such as C#, Java, C++, or others
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
