Principal Specialist, Material Program Management

This role is for a Principal Specialist, Material Program Management at RTX, a large aerospace and defense company. The position involves supporting supply chain strategies, material program management, and supplier management for multiple programs. The candidate will work in a fast-paced development environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include advising on material status, supporting proposal activities, managing material program plans, establishing forecasts, and monitoring supplier performance. The role requires experience with SAP and working in Integrated Product Teams. Government regulations experience is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead on material status and supplier risk mitigation activities
  2. Responsible for supporting the execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives
  3. Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets
  4. Support the execution of material program plans (MPP)
  5. Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs
