This role focuses on cybersecurity and information assurance within a defense contractor, involving system assessments, risk management, and compliance with government policies like NISPOM and ICD 503. It requires experience with security tools, vulnerability assessments, and maintaining security documentation for classified systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  2. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments.
  3. Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
  4. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.
  5. Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, ICD 503), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • IAT Level II (DoD 8570) certification
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation
  • Continuous Monitoring
  • Cybersecurity/Information Security/Information Assurance
  • SIEM, Splunk, vulnerability scanners
  • Handling classified systems and data

Nice to have

  • STEM degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • CompTIA Security+
