Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman · Aerospace · Warner Robins, GA +1 · Electrical

Electrical Engineer role at Northrop Grumman focused on designing, prototyping, and testing electronic assemblies for munitions equipment. Responsibilities include schematic capture, layout, BOM generation, collaborating with firmware teams, and supporting system architecture. Requires experience with electrical engineering principles, test equipment, and a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the Common Munitions BIT/Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE) Program
  2. Track parts lifecycle, evaluate DMSMS risks, and propose mitigation strategies (last‑time‑buy, part‑in‑production, redesign).
  3. Design, prototype, and test electronic assemblies (PCBs, power modules, I/O interfaces) for CMBRE stations.
  4. Perform schematic capture, layout, and BOM generation using industry‑standard tools (Altium, Mentor, Cadence).
  5. Collaborate with firmware/embedded teams to verify loading tools, diagnostic firmware, and secure communication links.
