Project Manager for IT projects within the Sentinel program at Northrop Grumman, focusing on design, implementation, and modification of IT systems. Responsibilities include leading project teams, managing schedules, budgets, risks, and ensuring project completion within scope, on time, and within budget. What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and direct one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations.
  2. Manage and track status of projects, metrics, financial budgets, and EACs; manage schedules and prepare status reports; and ensure project remediation and ongoing compliance goals are met.
  3. Develop and maintain comprehensive project execution plans, including scope, schedule, resources, risk, and cost baselines.
  4. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment.
  5. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and programmatic risks; maintain risk registers and drive corrective actions.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related professional work experience or Master's Degree and 3 years of related professional experience (Principal Level)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related professional work experience, or Master's degree with 6 years related professional experience (Senior Principal Level)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance
  • Familiarity with project management tools including Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, MS Project, Planisware, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated expertise in end to end project planning, schedule development and cost control (EVM)
  • Proven track record of leading multiple, high complexity, concurrent assignments

Nice to have

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, or higher
  • Experience leading and managing IT related projects in an Agile/SAFe environment
  • Agile or SCRUM certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
