Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer to interface with suppliers and stakeholders, disposition discrepant material tags, and design repairs for composite parts and assemblies in an aerospace manufacturing facility. Requires a STEM degree, experience in composites manufacturing, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Will be responsible for dispositioning discrepant material tags.
  2. The successful candidate will have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials.
  3. interface with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups (such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel) in the design center and build facilities.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
  • 5+ years related professional/military experience (Principal) OR 8+ years related professional/military experience (Sr. Principal)
  • Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility
  • Experience with military specs and standards
  • Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures
  • Willing and able to work 2nd Shift Hours
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline
  • 3+ years of related professional/military experience (Principal with Master's)
  • 6+ years of related professional/military experience (Sr. Principal with Master's)
  • Current active Secret clearance or higher
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Current NGAS MRB buyoff authority. "EN".
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Experience interfacing with a military customer
