Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer to support a high-volume, high-mix production environment for composite aerospace components. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting production issues, implementing process improvements, and authoring/auditing electronic work instructions. Requires a STEM Bachelor's degree and relevant engineering experience, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and implement process improvements as well as support site initiatives.
  2. Work closely with manufacturing personnel in the highly automated production of composite aerospace components.
  3. Author, modify, and audit shop floor electronic work instructions (EWIs).
  4. Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to permanently eliminate defects.
  5. Troubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implementing improvements and solutions.
