Project Manager role at Northrop Grumman supporting the AAR-47 Program team. Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between clients and technical teams, managing project schedules and budgets, preparing status reports, assessing project issues, and developing resolutions. The role involves working with program managers and IPT leads on reporting and presentations, ensuring quality and timely deliverables, supporting risk management, implementing process improvements, managing action items, adhering to budget baselines using EVM, managing government property, and ensuring adherence to contract scope and internal processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serves as liaison between client Program management and planning, technical leads, and functional management.
  2. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  3. Assesses project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  4. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving.
  5. Working side by side with the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads on all program reporting and executive level presentations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ or a master's degree with 3 years of relevant professional experience supporting U.S. Government contracts or project management activities. Additional 4 years of directly related professional work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated use of MS Office Suite applications, including Excel for data analysis, tracking and reporting; Word for formal documentation, PowerPoint for executive and customer/stakeholder briefings, and MS project for schedule development and tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience applying business and financial management principles supporting program or project execution, including cost account management, financial tracking, forecasting or performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating work across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams supporting project and program deliverables.
  • Experience supporting Risk and Opportunity Management activities, including risk identification, tracking, mitigation planning, or reporting.
  • Experience supporting monitoring and control of program plans, cost and schedule baselines to support contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations/deliverable.
  • Superior attention to detail with focus on customer satisfaction.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (granted or renewed within the last 6 years) to be considered and the ability to obtain special access clearances upon starting.
