Project Manager for the Columbia Dreadnought Launcher Program, responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, reporting, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction within a manufacturing and production environment. Requires experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and adherence to contract scope.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serves as liaison between Program management and planning, technical leads, and functional management.
  2. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  3. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  4. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving.
  5. Working side by side with the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads on all program reporting and executive level presentations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of relevant professional experience in project management activities or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft system application tools.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing and production environment.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in Program/Project Management.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Secret level security clearance.
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience in proposal roles and responsibilities a plus.
  • Knowledge of CAM and EVMS.
  • Material management experience.
  • Vendor and logistics/supply chain experience.
  • People leadership and familiarity with DOD Operations.
