Northrop Grumman is seeking Principal/Sr. Principal RF Hardware Subsystem Integration and Test Engineers for Compact Range antenna testing. Responsibilities include subsystem analysis, acceptance testing support, troubleshooting, data analysis, range integration/optimization, and software development. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with significant experience, US citizenship, and a Secret Clearance (with ability to obtain SAP). Proficiency in RF test equipment, antenna test ranges, and scripting languages like MATLAB is essential.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsibilities may include subsystem analysis including hardware from RF to digits, support for acceptance testing (ATP), subsystem troubleshooting, data analysis, range integration / optimization, software development & integration, and more.
  2. The role is focused on Compact Range antenna testing with the candidate either having some experience in this test environment or being able to learn and execute testing in this type of facility.
  3. Exhibit proficiency in compact antenna test ranges on tasks including antenna range integration, test, data collection, data analysis, and system integration.
  4. Exhibit proficiency with RF test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  5. Exhibit proficiency in software scripting and debugging in MATLAB, Visual Basic, and C++

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 5 years of experience (Principal) or 8 years of experience (Sr. Principal)
  • US Citizenship
  • Current Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to achieve a SAP Clearance
  • Proficiency in compact antenna test ranges
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes)
  • Ability to develop novel solutions to RF/Microwave design and test problems
  • Subject matter expertise in RF/Microwave discipline (Antenna, RF performance analysis, RF test verification, production test support)
  • Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in software scripting and debugging (MATLAB, Visual Basic, C++)
  • Ability to design, implement, install and maintain electrical systems
