This role is for a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Administrator supporting the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Program at Northrop Grumman. The primary responsibility is to configure, operate, and maintain the DARC computer infrastructure systems for the Early Use program, ensuring data is tagged, archived, and sanitized. The role requires an active Secret clearance and experience with Linux, network components, and scripting tools like Ansible. It is not directly involved in AI/ML model development but supports a radar system that generates data for USSPACECOM and USSF.

What you'd actually do

  1. Power up, configure, and shut down DARC computer infrastructure components in support of Early Use Operations.
  2. Document and track Early Use SW and HW configurations.
  3. Ensure Early Use Data is appropriately tagged, archived, and sanitized per documented procedures.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software impacting Early Use Operations.
  5. Support Early Use demonstrations and answer questions from witnessing customer representatives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of experience (Principal); Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years of experience (Sr. Principal)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience with configuring and trouble shooting network components and traffic issues
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux 8/9 OS
  • IAT Level II certification (ex. Security+ CE) or greater
  • Experience with Ansible scripts
  • Experience with RedHat Identity Manager (IDM)
  • Experience with RedHat Satellite Server configuration and usage
  • Familiarity with HPC cluster management solutions, such as HPE CM
  • Effective written and oral communication

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a RADAR or Satellite operations environment
  • Experience with various MPI implementations, IntelMPI, OpenMPI, MPICH
  • Experience with InfiniBand networks and the InfiniBand protocol
  • Experience with Nvidia CUDA libraries and GPUs
  • Experience with job schedulers, such as Slurm or PBS
  • Experience with global and parallel files systems, such as GPFS
  • Experience with Data Diode/CDS security solutions
