The role supports business development and partnerships teams, advising on legal and commercial aspects of agreements and products. What you'd actually do

  1. Be responsible for contract drafting, negotiation and advisory responsibilities for Roblox’s partnership and business development teams
  2. Provide legal and strategic business advice to help develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to our relationships with key partners and the commercial aspects of our key products and programs
  3. Provide commercial transaction support for other departments as the need arises
  4. Administration and resolution of legal issues and contract interpretation matters that arise in existing commercial relationships
  5. Willingness and ability to manage numerous deals, meet tight deadlines, and work extended hours when necessary to complete projects

Skills

Required

  • 12+ years of proven experience as a lawyer
  • Experience in support of business development teams, strategic partnerships
  • Entertainment / platform experience
  • Skilled at commercial contracting and negotiating
  • Strategic oversight of deal terms across partners
  • Ability to work autonomously and optimally within tight timeframes in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to exercise good judgment with available information
  • Ability to take initiative to identify and solve problems in a business-friendly and solutions-oriented manner
  • Ability to think strategically, commercially and practically
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills with an ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
