Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Strategy Analyst to support the development of portfolio-shaping strategies, including strategic partnerships, venture investments in startups, and industry analysis. The role involves financial and strategic analysis, market assessment, and supporting executive decision-making.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the development and execution of strategic partnerships
  2. Assist in sourcing, analyzing, and executing venture investments
  3. Support and/or lead industry analysis projects
  4. Support ad hoc analysis and special projects

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years of experience OR Master's degree with minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in market assessment, competitive assessment and/or in a strategic consulting role
  • Experience in financial analysis, corporate development, venture finance, and/or strategy development
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to obtain, and maintain, a U.S. Government secret level security clearance

Nice to have

  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree, or an undergraduate degree with significant analytical experience related to market, competitor or valuation analysis in an industrial company relevant to the defense industry
  • Dynamic self-starter with attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to function with minimal guidance
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to succinctly summarize analysis for executive management
  • Able to conduct independent research and demonstrate the skills and ability to perform fairly complex tasks independently and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems
  • Experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry, with working knowledge of customers, priorities, and the competitive landscape
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management
  • Project Management experience
