This role is for a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist at Northrop Grumman, focusing on representing Supply Chain to Program Management, Operations, Quality, and NGC Management for production programs. The specialist will act as a liaison, review project status, manage schedules, prepare reports, and assess supply chain issues to develop resolutions. The role requires collaboration with buyers, supplier performance, and supplier quality teams, and understanding of program deliverables and basic technical knowledge. A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, business/project management, or logistics is required, along with proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Experience in defense or aerospace systems is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Represent supply chain onsite as the focal point for coordinating and communicating supply chain management functions and status to and working with internal groups to ensure requirements are met in accordance with internal customer needs
  2. Meet company and customer requirements by providing the linkage between supply chain, customer, program management, and internal support functions
  3. Communicate to program leadership on status, as pertaining to supply chain, including execution issues and any other items that may impact ability to deliver
  4. Collaborate with buyers, supplier performance, and supplier quality to address systemic or major issues at suppliers requiring coordination with site or program functions
  5. Represent supply chain in internal daily and escalation meetings specific to the program

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, business/project management, or logistics
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems/tools

Nice to have

  • MBA and/or Supply Chain-related professional designation
  • Experience in defense or aerospace systems
  • Experience in high program volume / low production rate environment
  • Working knowledge of NGC Global Supply Chain, Business Development, and/ or Manufacturing/Operations
