Systems Administrator role supporting the MQ-4C Triton mission systems at RAAF Base Tindal, Australia. Responsibilities include maintaining system availability, stability, and readiness, troubleshooting issues, managing user accounts and security, and supporting Windows, VMware, and networked systems. Requires L2/L3 systems administration experience in a Defence or secure environment with strong hands-on capabilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Run system start-up and shutdown activities to support mission readiness, while monitoring performance and stepping in early to resolve issues before they impact flying
  2. Troubleshoot and fix system, network and user issues end-to-end, taking ownership rather than relying on escalation
  3. Manage user accounts, permissions and system security within a PV environment
  4. Maintain and support Windows, VMware and networked systems, along with routine maintenance, backups and recovery
  5. Identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability, and implement practical fixes that make a difference
