Principal Systems Engineer to architect and deliver the Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE), an integrated IT backbone for connecting data, models, and engineering tools. The role involves leading AI/ML integration, including intelligent data pipelines, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics, within a government compliance framework. Responsibilities include systems engineering, MBSE, IT infrastructure architecture, and evaluating AI/ML tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design, development, and governance of the Looking Glass Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE) architecture end-to-end.
  2. Define and enforce the DEE framework that connects Program Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASoTs) — data, models, documents — across all stakeholder communities.
  3. Identify and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into the DEE where appropriate — including intelligent data pipelines, automated anomaly detection, and predictive analytics on program data.
  4. Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo, Orbus, or equivalent — producing models that are consumable by both engineering and government stakeholders.
  5. Architect and implement scalable, redundant, highly available IT solutions across on-premises, co-location, and cloud environments.
