Principal Technical Consulting Eng

AT&T AT&T · Telecom · Norcross, GA

This role focuses on the RF design, optimization, and technical support of in-building wireless solutions, including iDAS, Private Cellular, CBRS, and Neutral Host deployments. The engineer will lead the design process from requirements gathering to deployment support and optimization, working with internal teams and external carrier partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead RF design for in-building wireless solutions including iDAS (OCN), Private Cellular (PCN), CBRS, and Neutral Host deployments.
  2. Develop complete RF design packages including coverage predictions, link budgets, antenna layouts, sectorization strategies, and capacity planning.
  3. Create and review Bills of Material (BOM) and equipment placement plans for headend equipment, radios, remotes, antennas, POIs, splitters, couplers, fiber, coax, and supporting infrastructure.
  4. Produce and maintain engineering design documentation including floor plans, antenna placement drawings, cable routing, antenna heights, azimuths, fiber routing, and power plans.
  5. Conduct site walks and engineering assessments and translate field conditions into final RF design recommendations.

Skills

Required
