The successful candidate will be well organized and data-driven, showing strong initiative and ability to lead in fast-paced and constantly changing environments. This role will be part of the Product & Industries team and own the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of IaaS and PaaS deployment models and services on OCI specifically focused on sovereignty.
Specific responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Knowledgeable of sovereign regulatory practices and trends, with a focus in the European Union.
- Driving the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of IaaS PaaS and SaaS deployment models and services on OCI specifically focused on sovereignty.
- Working with cross-functional colleagues and technical advisors to identify and analyze sovereignty trends and data that influences OCI’s strategic sovereign cloud approach.
- Defining critical product scope and plans and driving cross-Oracle execution.
- Collaborating across all Go To Market initiatives creating and approving content.
- Working independently on complex, critical sovereignty products that spans OCI’s IaaS and PaaS services, and interoperability with SaaS services, that affect long-term business goals while effectively documenting and communicating plans to stakeholders.
- Translating customer sovereignty needs into cloud products and services.
- Driving product roadmaps based on metrics and data analysis and mitigating critical product risks.
- Improving the Product & Industries team by serving as a role model for sovereign product ownership, strategic vision, mentoring, and team culture.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of product ownership or related experience.
- Knowledge of data sovereignty policy and laws in the European Union and its member states.
- Proven ability to plan and drive successful releases of entire products that contain significant scope.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with customers and data to develop and influence product roadmap.
- Possesses executive presentation skills. Can present to executive level audiences and concisely articulate ideas and influence decisions and key audiences.
- Experience identifying and mitigating risks across a set of systems, particularly at the intersection of business and engineering.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and development/engineering staff at all levels including the executive level.
- Knowledge and experience of using enterprise AI tools to deliver business efficiencies.
- Ability to operate fully independently and act as leader on team who establishes and shares best practices and mentors peers to develop team culture.
- Ability to take ownership amid ambiguity and uncertainty to drive results in cross-organizational environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of product ownership or related experience.
- Knowledge of sovereignty policy and laws in the European Union and other geographical regions and countries.
- Thorough understanding of public cloud infrastructure IaaS & PaaS services, such as Compute, Storage, Identity, and Networking.
- Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new AI tools and software quickly.
- Experience using agile development practices and associated tooling.
- Demonstrated knowledge of some of our competitor’s (AWS, Azure, or GCP) IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
