This role focuses on leading the construction of data centers, managing projects from planning and execution to quality assurance and risk management. It involves coordinating with colocation providers, selecting and managing vendors, overseeing installations (power, cooling, networking), and ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets. The role acts as a primary point of contact for external providers and stakeholders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leads the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Implements and oversees quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
  3. Identifies gaps in risk identification and mitigation and develops tailored solutions to address these gaps.
  4. Serves as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers.
  5. Selects, negotiates, and manages contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance.
