This role is a Principal Technical Program Manager focused on leading the construction of data centers. The responsibilities include project planning, execution, quality assurance, risk management, stakeholder and vendor management, and design coordination. The role requires ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, managing documentation, overseeing construction activities, and serving as a primary point of contact with colocation providers and vendors. While the role is within an enterprise AI company and may involve AI-related infrastructure, the core function is construction project management, not AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leads the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Creates, reviews, and maintains documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers.
  3. Implements and oversees quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
  4. Conducts detailed site walks and leads the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects.
  5. Identifies gaps in risk identification and mitigation and develops tailored solutions to address these gaps.
