This role focuses on planning and forecasting GPU demand for AI/ML datacenter capacity, bridging executive leadership, sales, and engineering. It involves developing and maintaining long-range demand planning models, analyzing trends, and collaborating with various teams to map customer requirements to datacenter capacity. The role requires extensive experience in demand planning, forecasting, and understanding infrastructure hardware and supply chain logistics, with a specific emphasis on AI/ML datacenter capacity planning.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, iterate, and maintain end to end long-range demand planning models at the customer, initiative, SKU, and geo level. This role bridges executive leadership, sales, and engineering to map customer requirements to datacenter capacity, requiring deep knowledge of GPU infrastructure, networking, and supply chain logistics.
  2. Build demand plans based on strategic goals, business trends, and inputs from stakeholders. Interact with engineering customer management, product management, networking, datacenter, and finance to understand demand requirements.
  3. Socialize demand plans with senior leaders in capacity planning and operations, supply chain, engineering, customer management, and finance to achieve alignment.
  4. Identify demand forecast risks and develop prioritized, effective, flexible, and durable mitigation strategies.
  5. Facilitate healthy balance between long range planning and short-term execution. Understand end to end supply chain flow to help ensure customer demand is met.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fields
  • 7+ years in large-scale AI/ML datacenter capacity planning and project management
  • Developing demand plans and forecasts for new and existing products
  • Understanding impact of revenue goals, customer usage, overhead and buffer, data center space and power availability on capacity management
  • Forecasting and demand planning for server storage and networking
  • Excel modeling and building complex forecasting models with multiple inputs
  • Infrastructure hardware, memory, CPU, JBoDs, servers, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret product BOM and documentation

  • Cloud experience and/or GPU infrastructure for air/liquid-cooled datacenters and network architecture
  • Thrive in ambiguity and ability to make high judgement decisions from ambiguous context
  • Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and draw conclusions
  • Maintain key operational metrics that measure demand planning performance driving continuous improvement
