This role is for a Principal Technical Program Manager in Merchant Services at JPMorgan Chase. The primary focus is on leading complex technology programs, integrating innovative solutions, and managing cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic goals. While the role involves identifying and implementing AI-enabled capabilities, establishing evaluation frameworks, model risk controls, and responsible AI guardrails, the core function is program management rather than direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, implement and execute comprehensive & strategic project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions.
  2. Oversee execution of complex technology projects and programs, manage resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and resolving roadblocks
  3. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing direction and defining decision-making procedures for beneficial outcomes
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
  5. Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations, and 5+ years of building and leading highly effective teams
  • Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to establish productive working relationships, and influence decision-making across functional teams and clients with status reporting and executive readouts to drive beneficial outcomes aligned with the firm's objectives
  • Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, including vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and the enablement of on-demand access to shared pools of applications and services
  • Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
  • Proven ability to lead through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
  • Develop dashboards, briefings, and discussions on materials for senior executives and stakeholders to provide transparency and facilitate decision-making (leveraging Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and other collaborative tools)
  • Identify, prioritize and deliver AI-enabled capabilities, establishing evaluation frameworks, model risk controls, and responsible AI guardrails to drive adoption and performance monitoring for AI features
