This role is for a Principal Test Systems Execution Lead Engineer at RTX in Tucson, Arizona. The position involves working with weapon test system designers to understand requirements, design, integrate, and deploy test systems for tactical software development and missile delivery. Responsibilities include technical execution, leading multi-disciplinary teams, defining program requirements, and managing milestones, cost, and schedule. A security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Communicate regularly with the program Integrated Product Team Leader (IPTL).
  2. Responsible for the Technical Execution of the program.
  3. Work directly with the Program Manager/IPTL to establish and complete program milestones.
  4. Lead a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment.
  5. Define program requirements in a multi-disciplinary team.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ prior relevant experience
  • Experience with the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, product qualification environments.
  • Experience with design, development and/or integration of test equipment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice to have

  • Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of or experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplined teams.
  • Experience with Agile Process and gate reviews.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Agile Methodologies understanding.
