This role is for a Principal Wi-Fi Engineering Architect focusing on venues and stadiums. The primary responsibilities include acting as the Design Authority for complex, high-density Wi-Fi deployments, supporting pre-sales and design, performing site surveys, creating High-Level and Low-Level Designs, and providing technical liaison and support throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires extensive experience with Wi-Fi network engineering and specific vendors, with a strong emphasis on stadium RF designs and optimization.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the Design Authority, spearheading our most complex, high-density (HD) Wi-Fi deployments for high-profile clients in stadium and arena environments.
  2. Own the design and guarantee its flawless execution.
  3. Building credibility and effectively consulting customers during sales calls, relying on in-depth industry knowledge to clearly convey intricate technical solutions.
  4. Supporting pre-sales and design by defining requirements, estimating Level of Effort (LOE), and applying a deep understanding of Wi-Fi technologies.
  5. Performing advanced site surveys with tools like drones and 360 cameras to capture detailed data for accurate design and planning.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience
  • Extensive, hands-on experience with one or more leading Wi-Fi and network vendors (e.g., Extreme Networks, Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)
  • Significant experience within Wi-Fi network engineering, specifically with Wi-Fi/Mobility networks and networking devices, protocols, and operating systems
  • Demonstrable expertise in designing and deploying complex, high-density Wi-Fi solutions
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Nice to have

  • Direct experience developing Stadium RF designs, including RF propagation modelling and site surveys at stadium locations with tools such as Ekahau or Hamina
  • Proven skills in data collection, troubleshooting, interference analysis, and High-Density RF optimization
  • Demonstrated expertise in solution design, with the ability to lead technical discussions, fully vet customer requirements, and produce comprehensive documentation
