Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Windows Systems Administrator to support information system lifecycle activities for classified government contracts. Responsibilities include managing Windows Server OS, Active Directory, GPOs, patching, monitoring, and ensuring system compliance and security. Requires a Master's degree with 3 years of IT experience or equivalent, IAT Level II certification, Windows domain experience, and a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform as a Principal Computer Systems Analyst in support of classified government contracts.
  2. Able to support multiple networks, ensuring necessary Windows administration tasks are completed; coordinating with others as necessary, working under minimal direction.
  3. Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems working with system engineers, PC desktop technicians, networking engineers, project managers, end users, and IT/Cyber management.
  4. Maintain and provide reliability of systems through installation, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  5. Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases, supporting Computer Security with inputs to documentation, as required.

Skills

Required

  • Master's Degree with 3 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of IT experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of IT experience
  • U.S. Government 8140 baseline certification requirements (8570 equivalent) for a Principal Computer Systems Analyst - IAT Level II (examples: Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+ , RHCSA)
  • Managing Windows Server OS
  • Windows domains, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions
  • Current U.S Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance to include a current Polygraph
  • Ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • Security+ CE
  • MCSE (or similar Microsoft cert)
  • 6 years of Windows Server, VMWare, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Group Policy administration experience within classified environments
  • Certification in a primary Operating System (Linux, Cisco)
  • Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments
