Process Control and Automation Engineer (i&c)

This role is for a Process Control and Automation Engineer in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include supporting and enhancing automation platforms, troubleshooting process interruptions, field device diagnostics, and ensuring the safe design and operation of new equipment. The role requires experience in industrial equipment control, API manufacturing process control, and utilities/environmental control systems, with a preference for Delta-V and Rockwell Automation Systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work safely and continually looks for improvements in personnel and equipment safety, ensure safe design and operation of new equipment, ensure automation design reflects safety concerns for operations and maintenance.
  2. Partner with colleagues to properly support and enhance the Automated Systems and Equipment.
  3. Perform solution assessment and performance reviews and verified the proper and efficient operation of the automated systems.
  4. Partner with colleagues to support the discipline through solution assessment, replication, and development.
  5. Manage tools, and implement engineering standards, master specifications and best practices.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Industrial Equipment Control, API Manufacturing Process control, Utilities Automation or Environmental Control Systems.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

  • Working experience troubleshooting Instrumentation and control integrations.
  • Significant experience and strong problem-solving skills in measurements, control (process and/or manufacturing), control systems, integration, and data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely.
  • Demonstrated experience working with two or more automation platforms, preferable Delta-V and Rockwell Automation Systems.
  • Knowledge and experiences working with sensing Field instrumentation (Temp, Hum, Diss Oxy, PH, RH, Pressure, Flow, etc), Acting Instrumentation (Valves, Relays, etc) and transducing instrumentation (I/P, P/I, V/P, P/V, etc).
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP’s and pharmaceutical manufacturing Knowledge in Microsoft Operating System.
