Process Development Scientist (pcp) 15 Months Training Programme

This is a 15-month training program for fresh or mid-career individuals to enter the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector at Pfizer in Singapore. The role involves laboratory-scale experiments, process development, troubleshooting, and collaboration with various functions to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct laboratory scale experiments and analysis with supervision to support plant operation issues, proposed process modifications, new raw material qualification, evaluation of processes to minimize waste (reuse, etc), evaluation of new process technologies.
  2. Collaborate and work with multi-discipline functions such as process engineers, quality, regulatory, compliance, etc in troubleshooting all manufacturing problems and upsets.
  3. Support technology transfers activities from drafting the standard laboratory procedures (SLP) to execution of laboratory experiments to support process validation.
  4. Work with other Process Scientists and Engineers to anticipate and eliminate any process chemistry related issues.
  5. Work with Quality Operations to develop the necessary data and documentation in support of production changes or abnormal process operations to assure that our products meet all Pfizer and regulatory quality standards.

Skills

Required

  • Degree in Chemistry or relevant discipline
  • 0-3 years experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience working as an individual and effective team player
