What you'd actually do

  1. Act as an independent Process engineer within large and difficult projects in an operating area (utilities, energy, environment), thereby contributing to safety, quality, sustainability, operational reliability, and energy efficiency of the installations
  2. Assuring compliance with existing and new (J&J) standards and legislation: Identify and scope opportunities for improvement and follow-through on realization. Ensure that GxP requirements applicable to the systems and installations in the project are met
  3. Coordinate ad-hoc multidisciplinary teams to optimize new and existing systems and processes from a safety, quality, energy, economic and environmental perspective.
  4. Prepare BCs and presents the projects to senior management
  5. Supporting the Base Business Capital Planning process by forecasting budget needs

Skills

Required

  • Facility Engineering
  • Master level engineering degree or equivalent through experience (energy, civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial)
  • Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry, in an operational role (maintenance, engineering, process engineering, prevention…)
  • Broad multidisciplinary knowledge (process techniques, renewables, combustion techniques, electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, heat-cold technology, automation, environmental technologies…)
  • Technical scientific and cGxP knowledge in the field of facilities, infrastructure, energy and utilities, water systems and HVAC, compliance, and legislation (pressure equipment, VLAREM, …)
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a strong regulated environment
  • Capabilities to work on short- and long-term projects, transitions, innovations and changes
  • Comfortable working in a pressurized environment on a project basis as well as independently in the context of bold timelines
  • Effective communication skills in written and spoken Dutch and English.
  • Financial knowledge, such as an in-depth understanding of cost-benefit and life cycle cost analyses
