This Process Engineer role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for infrared imaging solutions, driving production capacity, and innovating with automation and control systems. The role requires a technical degree, 5+ years of operations experience in process or manufacturing engineering, and experience with high vacuum systems or cooled thermal imaging. A U.S. Person status is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and Optimize IDCA Manufacturing Processes: Lead the full lifecycle of manufacturing process design, documentation, and continuous improvement for IDCAs, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
  2. Drive Production Capacity Growth: Strategize and implement initiatives to achieve a significant increase in production capacity.
  3. Innovate with Automation & Control Systems: Design and deploy new equipment, automation solutions, data collection, and process control systems to enhance quality, reduce cycle time, and expand test coverage.
  4. Ensure Operational Excellence & Uptime: Develop and manage comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) and equipment spares procedures to maximize equipment uptime and overall operational efficiency.
  5. Lead New Equipment Integration: Oversee the specification, sourcing, installation, and qualification of new process equipment.

Skills

Required

  • Technical degree (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, math, or hard science)
  • 5+ years of Operations experience in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or design of electromechanical hardware
  • Professional experience in high vacuum systems and/or the cooled thermal imaging industry (Dewars and Coolers)
  • Proven track record of yield and process improvement
  • U.S. Person status

Nice to have

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent
