Process Engineer Level 3

Process Engineer with a focus on developing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting operations, performing root cause analysis, and troubleshooting production issues. Requires a STEM degree and experience in Lean Manufacturing, interpreting blueprints, and Statistical Process Controls (SPC).

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing and continuously improving manufacturing processes
  2. Supporting manufacturing operations, to include composites manufacturing, machining, rubber layup and molding, chemical bonding, primers and coatings, and complex assemblies
  3. Being the first line of support (primary point of contact) for operations personnel and any process related problems.
  4. Performing cause and corrective action investigations to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis tools
  5. Working with concurrent engineering team to create Build-to-Packages (i.e. engineering and planning documents)

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree (Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or related)
  • 5 years experience with Bachelor degree or 3 years experience with Master degree
  • Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications, GD&T standards
  • Statistical Process Controls (SPC)

Nice to have

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
  • Experience writing shop planning
  • Experience with 3D modeling software
  • Experience working with composite materials
  • Strong inter-personal and Customer Service Skills
  • CAD skills
  • Experience with NX and modeling
