Process Mechanic - Tube Bender role at Boeing Defense, Space & Security in St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities include operating NC-controlled tube benders, performing various end form operations, reading blueprints, and working in a team environment. Requires experience with tubing and ducting manufacturing and at least 1 year in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Setup and run power operated NC-controlled tube benders, inspect, pressure test, clean vapor degrease, swage, square, burr, mark finish trim, cut, identify, mask, cap, preserve, and apply color identification.
  2. Install several types of fittings including Wiggins, Dynatube, DME, Gamah, Ringlok, Perma Swage, Cryofit, Sierracin Harrison, and AN.
  3. Perform numerous end form operations including size, veil, bead, shrink, saddle, flare, expand, and reduce.
  4. Route and trial fit tubes on aircraft and mock-ups to determine size and shape of tubes.
  5. Must be able to read and work to blueprints, visual aids, work instructions, and process specifications.
