Process Technician- Filling (nights)

This role is for a Process Technician in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, focusing on the operation of automated filling equipment for syringes. The responsibilities include ensuring safe operation, maintaining quality standards (cGMP), supporting line leads, and performing area cleaning. It requires experience in a regulated industry and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Adhere to RTP Plant safety policies and procedures, contribute to a safe work environment.
  2. Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product.
  3. Support leadership on manufacturing floor by ensuring high level of safety, quality, and productivity to maintain reliable supply of products to patients.
  4. Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, properly documenting all activities and reporting issues to supervision.
  5. Key support for leadership during troubleshooting, functions as reliable point of contact for issue escalation on the shop floor

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach others
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal)
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills (desktop software)

Nice to have

  • 3+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical, or equivalent regulated industry
  • Scientific/technical degrees or certifications
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs)
  • Previous experience utilizing solution filling equipment and/or isolator technology
  • Previous experience with pre-filled syringe (PFS) technology
  • Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
