Procurement Agent

This role is for an experienced Procurement Agent at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, focusing on Supply Chain Operations. The agent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining delivery priorities, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues, developing recovery plans, assessing supplier capabilities, and monitoring supplier performance. The role requires experience in procurement and supply chain processes, policy administration, and customer interaction. Travel is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance
  2. Collaboration with others; communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns
  3. Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements
  4. Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier for improvement or enhancement of delivery performance
  5. Participates in on-site supplier assessments with the procurement agent (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement & support Boeing procurement strategy

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes
  • 3+ years of experience in the deployment and administration of policies, procedures, and processes
  • 3+ years of experience interacting with customers (both internal and external), at all levels, on a one-on-one basis and in group settings
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 50% of the time)

Nice to have

  • 1+ years of experience working with production teams
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams & prioritizing milestones
  • 3+ years of experience with MS PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis, presentations, and communication
  • Experience in a strategic role
