What you'd actually do

  1. Direct Supervision of staff, assigning work priorities and daily assignments necessary to support the sector objectives
  2. Manage purchasing team responsible for purchasing activities including preparing Request for Quotes (RFQs), conducting bid analysis, negotiating purchase orders, documenting purchase order requirements while meeting compliance requirements and managing supplier performance and relationships
  3. Terms and Conditions negotiations
  4. Engage in supplier sourcing strategy development
  5. Cross-functional coordination in and out of the organization

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or Master’s and 6+ years of relevant experience in Global Supply Chain, U.S. Government contract, or Procurement/Subcontracts
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading processes, and/or projects
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • working knowledge of FAR/DFARs
  • 5 years of experience with the procurement of goods
  • Experience managing supplier performance and relationships

Nice to have

  • Minimum of 2 years experience leading a team
  • Knowledge and experience with services governed by statement of work (SOW)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
