Role Definition
Supports the resolution of quality issues and processes for the supply function in the BCP Thiruvallur manufacturing facility supporting BHL & SSL Products.
Responsibilities
- Provides conclusions and recommendations for quality issues and/or continuous quality improvement projects.
- Participates in supplier quality improvement initiatives; works with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels.
- Ensures the reliability and quality of suppliers, implementing process controls, certification programs, evaluations, inspections, corrective actions, audits and records.
- Identified quality problem(s) and determines a short-term action plan with the facility management and the supplier.
Degree Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in engineering with relevant and equivalent work experience in the field
**Additional experience that will set candidates apart: **
- Knowledge of heavy and light fabrication, cab structures and cab components used in BHL and SSL products
- Caterpillar Print Reading & 1E Specs
- Prior exposure to Quality and Procurement functions
- In-depth understanding of reactive quality management
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes followed by welding and fabrication suppliers
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Quality and Supplier process partners in high-pressure environments
