Procurement Quality Engineer (temp) (m/f)

Caterpillar is seeking a temporary Procurement Quality Engineer in Sosnowiec, Poland. The role involves inbound quality management, reactive quality issue resolution for suppliers, supplier performance input to APQP, PPAP execution, and managing supply interruptions due to quality issues. Requires an engineering or manufacturing background, knowledge of manufacturing processes for steel components, project management skills, and good communication in Polish/English. Top candidates will have job-related experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, good human relations skills, and proficiency in statistical and problem-solving tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Inbound quality management (MRDR / NCM / COPQ)
  2. Reactive quality issue resolution for domestic and international suppliers (identify, contain, eliminate - RCCA)
  3. Facility specific supplier perf. inputs to APQP (PPMs, CARs, MRDR), drive IQA = PDI
  4. Assure PPAPs execution for NPI and WDO, as well as BIQ execution at supplier
  5. Manage supply interruptions resulting from supplier quality issues

Skills

Required
