This role is for a Procurement Technology Cloud Category Manager at Adobe. The primary responsibility is to lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for global cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), including enterprise agreements, consumption optimization, and capacity planning. The role involves partnering with Engineering, Architecture, and Finance to develop sourcing strategies, execute negotiations, and manage cloud spend, usage, and risk. It also requires monitoring market trends, managing RFx activities, and ensuring contract compliance and risk mitigation with Legal.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead end-to-end commercial strategy for global cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including complex enterprise agreements, consumption optimization, and long-term capacity planning.
  2. Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Finance to translate cloud usage patterns into actionable sourcing strategies that reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining performance and resilience.
  3. Develop and execute negotiation strategies for multi-year cloud commitments, marketplace agreements, and emerging cloud-native services.
  4. Utilize governance mechanisms that improve visibility into cloud spend, usage forecasting, and risk management.
  5. Monitor market trends across hyperscalers and cloud ecosystem vendors to inform build vs. buy decisions and long-term platform strategy.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or similar
  • Strategic Sourcing/Procurement-related industry certification(s) a plus.
  • 6-10 years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing with an emphasis in cloud software or software as a service.
  • Deep market knowledge software contracting trends, licensing models, and business models.
  • Experience leading teams, formal people leadership preferred.
  • Familiarity with fiscal planning cycles and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence (EQ) & influence with various partners, and improving business dynamics both within Global Procurement and broadly across Adobe; evidence of continuous positive customer feedback.
  • Mastery of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with BI reporting and spend analysis.
  • High attention to detail and the exercise of sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to synthesize and present complex matters and data analysis in executive presentation views with insightful commentary.
  • Willing to train users in new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies.
  • Effective ownership of competing priorities.
