Product Design - Associate

JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase · Banking · Bengaluru, Karnataka, India · Asset & Wealth Management

Product Designer role focused on end-to-end design of product experiences within the Global Private Bank Design Studio at JPMorgan Chase. The role involves partnering with Product and Technology, applying design systems, and grounding decisions in research and analytics. It also includes exploring and applying AI tools to enhance design quality and efficiency.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own end-to-end design across complex features and flows, from discovery and problem framing through interaction design, prototyping, and handoff-ready delivery
  2. Apply design systems accurately and consistently; address primary flows, edge cases, and error states without being prompted
  3. Act as the voice of the user, ground decisions in research and analytics, push back constructively when user outcomes are at risk, and incorporate accessibility into every solution
  4. Partner with Product and Technology peers, communicate rationale clearly, surface trade-offs early, and maintain alignment through delivery without creating friction
  5. Seek and integrate feedback actively, distinguish preference from outcome-driven input, iterate with depth, and close the loop on how input was addressed

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft across complex, multi-state user experiences
  • Hands-on proficiency across the full design process, research synthesis, interaction design, visual design, and developer-ready handoff
  • Deep working knowledge of Figma and digital accessibility standards
  • Proven experience working within enterprise design systems
  • Clear communicator, structures rationale well, tailors messaging for Product, Tech, and leadership audiences, and anticipates questions before they're asked
  • Systems thinker, designs with awareness of how decisions connect across flows, surfaces, and product goals

Nice to have

  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, or a similarly complex, regulated domain
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design workflows (research synthesis, rapid prototyping, content generation) and a considered view on when and how to use them
  • Experience in or alongside user research, usability testing, synthesis, translating findings into design decisions
  • Familiarity with front-end constraints and how design decisions affect engineering implementation
  • A track record of contributing beyond your immediate scope, improving team workflows, contributing to design system documentation, or elevating how a team critiques and iterates

What the JD emphasized

  • AI tools thoughtfully
