What you'd actually do

  1. Drive upstream component/module builds to fulfill system engineering build demands.
  2. Manage design releases and tooling kickoff with PD Engineering and vendors
  3. Collaborate and facilitate communication across multiple engineering teams, operations, industrial design, and our vendor partners to meet aggressive quality, schedule, and cost goals
  4. Understand technical issues & complex design trade-offs. Drive to closure by bringing together key stakeholders; facilitating decision-making discussions to meet overall project objectives
  5. Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution within and between teams, focus on top level objectives and develop best course of action

Skills

Required

  • BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in program management or mechanical engineering design in product development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills

Nice to have

  • Masters in Engineering
  • Knowledge of product development processes and manufacturing fundamentals
  • prior experience with metal stamping, forging, machining (CNC), die casting, plastic injection molding, and MIM
  • Experience delivering products comprised of multiple materials with high aesthetic quality requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage complex design strategies
  • Ability to manage complex build matrices and build planning through complex schedules
