Product Designer at Meta to design, prototype, and code front-end user interfaces for Facebook's platforms, products, or applications. What you'd actually do

  1. Design, prototype, and code front-end user interfaces that are simple and elegant for Facebook's platforms, products, or applications.
  2. Take broad, conceptual product ideas and translate them into functional, scalable software and code to be used for front-end application development.
  3. Write code and programs for User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) products.
  4. Utilize a full range of front-end programming, human-computer interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led code and software solutions to complex product issues.
  5. Partner with engineering teams to ensure the compatibility of front-end software and code components with the technical specifications of by a given product.

Skills

Required

  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Design and Technology, or a related field
  • 2 years in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation
  • Top level visual design with typography, layout design, color theories, and interaction design
  • Identifying user needs and challenges so as to create strategy and effective Interaction design
  • Creating user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to achieve consensus on design solutions
  • Prototyping tools such as Flinto, Figma, Sketch, and InVision
  • Using business requirements and user and market research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
