Responsibilities
Design, prototype, and build flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for Facebook's platforms, products, or applications. Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable. Design web and mobile workflows and user experiences that are adaptable to users' changing needs. Utilize a full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems. Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for quality. Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the feasibility of the design and functionality with the necessary level of finesse. Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch. Contribute to strategic decisions with the product and executive teams. Ensure cohesive branding with the marketing team. Identify ways in which technologies can provide new functionality and better user experiences. Provide additional post-launch design support to maximize continued efficiency in a constantly evolving environment. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. allowed.
Qualifications
Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Telecommunications or a related field and 1 year of work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation Requires 1 year of experience in each of the following Building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features across a variety of platforms Interaction Design Prototyping Typography, desktop/mobile UI, color or layout, iconography Building and shipping applications and software Providing URLs featuring examples of interaction design work End-to-end hybrid UX and UX product design
