Responsibilities
Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion plus users. Design flows and experiences that simplify and distil down complex actions into usable interfaces. Design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems. Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta products. Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually improve for quality. Drive a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists in order to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch. 20% domestic travel required.
Qualifications
Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Interactive Telecommunications, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation Requires 12 months experience in following: Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs Prototyping Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts Defining product specifications and user experiences Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing Conducting end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes, AND Leading end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
