Product Development Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Singapore · Engineering

This role focuses on evaluating the performance of AMD Adaptive System-on-Chip (SoC) and FPGA products, including processor subsystems. The engineer will develop and execute characterization test patterns to ensure design margins, speed specifications, and silicon performance across various operating conditions. Responsibilities include porting test patterns, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. Experience with SoC/FPGA pre- or post-silicon validation, scripting languages, and C/C++ is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing, executing and debugging characterization test suites in hardware and software for measuring the performance and design margins of hardened IP and subsystems with respect to parameters such as timing, frequency and voltage.
  2. Porting, maintaining and tracking test patterns, automation scripts and test flows between different pre- and post-silicon test platforms, including ATE.
  3. Collecting and analyzing characterization data across the full range of device operating conditions and device volume to generate characterization reports and insights based on silicon trends.
  4. Working with cross-functional teams to correlate data, debug and resolve issues.

Skills

Required

  • BS or MS in EE, CS, ECE or related field
