Product Development Engineer (server Platform)

This role focuses on optimizing power and performance for AMD EPYC server platforms in datacenter environments, working with customers to diagnose and resolve efficiency challenges. It involves deep dives into BIOS, OS, I/O, and application-level workloads, requiring strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Study and apply BIOS and OS level power management features to analyze and resolve power efficiency and performance issues on AMD EPYC™ server platforms.
  2. Debug and optimize I/O bandwidth and latency in PCIe rich server systems with complex topologies, spanning storage, networking, and accelerator subsystems.
  3. Drive core performance optimization in cloud and datacenter service environments, addressing CPU utilization, scheduling, scalability, and workload efficiency.
  4. Work closely with customers to diagnose system and application-level performance issues, translate findings into actionable guidance, and deliver measurable efficiency improvements.
  5. Enable customers through technical workshops, training sessions, and ongoing engineering engagements, accelerating adoption of best practices and AMD platform capabilities.
