This role supports current and future model production and design problem-solving within the automotive industry, specifically focusing on transmission, hybrid, and electric vehicle eDrive units. Responsibilities include coordinating component teardowns, managing field returns, writing work orders, supporting design verification testing, and coordinating root cause analysis. The role also involves benchmarking, managing test units, and tracking component pedigree.

What you'd actually do

  1. The Technical Test Leader is responsible for coordinating the building of test samples along with completing the teardown of samples after test.
  2. Coordinate part returns and manage their flow through the garage for troubleshooting.
  3. Support all design verification testing, both systems and components including writing test requests, coordinating sample builds, preparation and delivery.
  4. Coordinate root cause analysis, including writing teardown requests, coordinating post-test evaluations and disposition of post-test hardware.
  5. Support best in class benchmarking. Creating part orders for new benchmarking studies, developing custom components to enable testing and teardown reports.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience required in the automotive industry
