Product Manager for Visa Payment Passkey (VPP), focusing on making authentication technologies like FIDO and passkeys easy for developers to integrate. The role involves defining requirements for developer tools, APIs, and SDKs, optimizing the integration journey, and improving developer experience metrics within the fintech domain.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create a magical Developer Experience for Visa’s authentication products
  2. Drive developer-focused improvements across the VPP integration journey, from first API call to Production certification
  3. Author detailed product requirements for developer tools, APIs, SDKs, and platform features based on team and company objectives
  4. Contribute to certification process design that balances security requirements with developer efficiency and time-to-launch
  5. Support and integrate our authentication products on our production-ready beta platform to validate features, gather developer feedback, and identify issues early

Skills

Required

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Experience leading initiatives and acting as product owner in an agile environment
  • Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex workstreams and processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence successfully within a highly matrixed organization
  • Hands-on experience building, launching, and using APIs, developer portals, developer documentation, sandbox experiences, SDKs in eCommerce and payments with a track record of business impact at scale
  • Strong knowledge of API technologies and tools such as RESTful, Postman, Swagger, Github
  • Proven track record partnering with engineers and architects to design consistent and easy to integrate APIs that power business critical processes at scale, under high peak load, and with minimal latency
  • Strong passion for optimizing developer experiences and high empathy for the developer community
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to fully understand technical architecture, APIs and overall system design
  • Working well within a heavily matrixed organizations, multi-national experience is a plus
  • Ability to use data to prove or disprove hypotheses and inform the product roadmap
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills to confidently interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Subject matter expertise in payments and/or ecommerce processing, with relevant experience in product and feature delivery.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in identity and access management, including varied authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID, FIDO2, etc.)
  • Possess a unique combination of product expertise, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and comfortable with rapid changes.
  • Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
  • Detail oriented and highly execution focused by working in conjunction with various counterparts across multiple functional groups.
