Product Manager, Autonomous Operations

Expedia Expedia · Hospitality · CA

Product Manager for Autonomous Operations at Expedia, focusing on defining strategy and roadmaps for AI/ML-driven automation to improve reliability and efficiency across platforms. The role involves translating complex problems into requirements, partnering with engineering, and using data-driven insights to prioritize backlog for self-healing and observability. Experience with AI-driven systems and applying AI/ML concepts to operational contexts is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Autonomous Operations capabilities that improve reliability, reduce manual intervention, and optimize operational efficiency across Expedia Group’s platforms.
  2. Translate complex operational and technical problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics for engineering, data, and operations partners, ensuring outcomes are measurable and aligned to business goals.
  3. Partner closely with engineering to design, validate, and deliver automation products and services, including system design inputs, API contracts, data modeling needs, and integration patterns required for scalable, resilient solutions.
  4. Use data-driven insights from monitoring, telemetry, incident patterns, and customer/partner feedback to prioritize a backlog that increases self-healing, proactive detection, and end‑to‑end observability in production environments.
  5. Collaborate across multiple domains and platforms (e.g., infrastructure, core services, applications, tooling) to ensure Autonomous Operations capabilities are reusable, extensible, and fungible across different technical and business contexts.
