Product Manager

Cursor Cursor · Coding AI · San Francisco, CA · Product Management

Product Manager at Cursor, a company focused on automating coding by building tools for professional programmers. The role involves customer discovery, writing code, prototyping with AI, defining feature strategy, owning launch execution, partnering with customers and sales, prioritizing bug fixes, working with data science on metrics, and writing changelogs. Requires daily use of AI coding tools, engineering or deep developer tools experience, and ability to build and deploy applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Take an idea and turn it into something customers use every day.
  2. Customer discovery. Writing code. Onsite implementations. High-stakes demos. Blog posts.
  3. Building the first version of a feature yourself—prototyping with AI coding tools, getting it in front of users, and iterating until it's ready to hand off or scale with engineering.
  4. Defining feature strategy for capabilities that need to work at scale, across individual developers and enterprise teams. Scoping what to build, what to cut, and in what order.
  5. Owning launch execution end-to-end with PMM: GTM checklists, rollout sequencing, feedback loops, and measuring what worked.
