Product Manager - Finance (freight Capability)

Product Manager for Finance Capabilities focusing on the Freight Capability, which includes end-to-end management of freight-related financial processes like cost allocation, transportation claims, and freight payments. The role involves shaping product strategy, roadmaps, and OKRs, working with cross-functional teams including engineers, UX designers, and data scientists, and ensuring the delivery of business outcomes through technology and analytic products. Experience with finance, supply chain, or accounts payable products is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product.
  2. Leverage the knowledge of your product, accounting and controls standards, as well as business user feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product.
  3. Lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.
  4. Be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met, and the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful.
  5. Develop a deep understanding of freight operations and financial processes, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

Skills

Required

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience or equivalent experience
  • Ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners across finance and supply chain domains
  • Strong communication skills with ability to strategically communicate milestones and roadmaps
  • Curious and driven to understand end-to-end freight, payables, and financial processes and business impact
  • Superior problem-solving skills with ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems to root causes allowing incremental value delivery

Nice to have

  • Experience working with finance, supply chain, or accounts payable products preferred (freight, claims, or allocation experience is a plus)
